1 Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ through will of God, and Timothy the brother,
2 to the holy ones in Colossae and faithful brothers in Christ: grace to you and peace from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.
3 We give-thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, always praying on behalf of you,
4 having heard your faith in Christ Jesus and the love, the one unto all the holy ones,
5 through the hope, the one laid-away for you in the heavens, which you heard-before in the word of the truth of the gospel,
6 the one being-alongside unto you, according as also in all the world, and is bearing-fruit and growing, according as also in you, from which day you heard and fully-knew the grace of God in truth,
7 according as you learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow-slave, who is a faithful servant of the Christ on behalf of you,
8 the one also having made clear to us your love in Spirit.
9 Through this also we, from which day we heard, do not cease praying on behalf of you and asking that you may be filled with the full-knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,
10 to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, in every good work bearing-fruit and growing in the full-knowledge of God,
11 in all power being empowered according to the might of his glory unto all remaining-under and long-temper with joy,
12 giving-thanks to the Father, the one having made us sufficient unto the portion of the lot of the holy ones in the light,
13 who rescued us out of the jurisdiction of the darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love,
14 in whom we have the redemption through his blood, the sending-away of the sins;
15 who is image of the unseen God, firstborn of all creation,
16 because in him the all things were created, the things in the heavens and the things upon the earth, the seen and the unseen, whether thrones or lordships or rules or jurisdictions; the all things through him and unto him have been created;
17 and he is before all, and the all things in him have stood-together.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church, who is beginning, firstborn out of the dead, that he may become in all things himself holding-first,
19 because in him all the fullness thought-well to dwell,
20 and through him to change-toward the all things unto himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross, through him, whether the things upon the earth or the things in the heavens.
21 And you, once being alienated and enemies in the mind in the evil works, and now he changed-toward
22 in the body of his flesh through the death, to present you holy and unblemished and unaccused before him,
23 if indeed you remain-upon in the faith, having been founded and settled and not being moved-away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, the one having been proclaimed in all the creation, the one under the heaven, of which I Paul became a servant.
24 Now I rejoice in the sufferings on behalf of you, and I fill-up the lacks of the pressures of the Christ in my flesh on behalf of his body, which is the church,
25 of which I became a servant according to the household-management of God, the one having been given to me unto you, to fill the word of God,
26 the mystery, the one having been hidden from the ages and from the generations, and now was manifested to his holy ones,
27 to whom God willed to make known what is the wealth of the glory of this mystery in the nations, which is Christ in you, the hope of the glory,
28 whom we announce, putting every man in-mind and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ Jesus;
29 unto which also I labor, struggling according to his in-working, the one in-working in me in power.
