And to you, the ones being pressured, a rest with us in the unveiling of the Lord Jesus from heaven with angels of his power, in a fire of flame, giving vengeance to those not knowing God and to those not obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Paul and Silvanus and Timothy to the church of Thessalonians in God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ:

2 grace to you and peace from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.

3 We ought to give-thanks to God always concerning you, brothers, according as it is worthy, because your faith over-grows and the love of each one of all of you abounds unto one another,

4 so as for us ourselves to boast in you in the churches of God on behalf of your remaining-under and faith in all your persecutions and the pressures which you hold-up,

5 an indication of the righteous judgment of God, unto the you to be counted-worthy of the kingdom of God, on behalf of which also you suffer,

6 if indeed it is righteous beside God to give-back to those pressuring you a pressure,

7 and to you, the ones being pressured, a rest with us in the unveiling of the Lord Jesus from heaven with angels of his power,

8 in a fire of flame, giving vengeance to those not knowing God and to those not obeying the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ,

9 who will pay a justice of age-long destruction from face of the Lord and from the glory of his strength,

10 whenever he comes to be glorified in his holy ones and to be wondered-at in all those having believed — because our testimony upon you was believed — in that day.

11 Unto which also we pray always concerning you, that our God may count you worthy of the calling and may fill every good-thinking of goodness and work of faith in power,

12 that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.
