Chapter 4
Later seasons. Train toward godliness

For the bodily training is toward a little profitable, and the godliness is profitable toward all things, having a promise of life, of the now and of the about to be.

1 And the Spirit says-expressly that in later seasons some will stand-away from the faith, holding-toward wandering spirits and teachings of demons,

2 in hypocrisy of liars, having been branded the own conscience,

3 hindering to marry, to hold-away from foods which God created unto a sharing-with with thanksgiving for the faithful and those having fully-known the truth.

4 Because every created-thing of God is good, and nothing to be thrown-away, being received with thanksgiving;

5 for it is being sanctified through a word of God and intercession.

6 These things placing-under to the brothers, you will be a good servant of Jesus Christ, being nourished with the words of the faith and of the good teaching which you have followed-alongside.

7 And the profane and granny myths refuse, and train yourself toward godliness;

8 for the bodily training is toward a little profitable, and the godliness is profitable toward all things, having a promise of life, of the now and of the about to be.

9 Faithful is the word and worthy of all reception.

10 For unto this we both labor and are being reproached, because we have hoped upon a living God, who is Savior of all men, especially of faithful ones.

11 Command these things and teach.

12 Let no one despise your youth, but become a type of the faithful in word, in turning-about, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

13 Until I come, hold-toward the reading, the calling-alongside, the teaching.

14 Do not be uncaring of the gift-of-grace in you, which was given to you through prophecy with a laying-on of the hands of the elderhood.

15 These things practice, in these be, that your advance may be manifest to all.

16 Hold-upon yourself and the teaching; remain-upon in them; for doing this you will save both yourself and those hearing you.
