Chapter 4

Pray. Walk in wisdom. Greetings

Walk in wisdom toward those outside, buying-out the season. Let your word always be in grace, having been seasoned with salt, to know how it is necessary for you to answer each one.

¹ The lords, furnish the righteous and the equality to the slaves, knowing that also you have a Lord in heavens.

² Be strong toward the prayer, watching in it in thanksgiving,

³ praying at the same time also concerning us, that God may open to us a door of the word, to speak the mystery of the Christ, through which also I have been bound,

⁴ that I may manifest it as it is necessary for me to speak.

⁶ Let your word always be in grace, having been seasoned with salt, to know how it is necessary for you to answer each one.

⁷ The things according to me Tychicus will make known to you, the beloved brother and faithful servant and fellow-slave in Lord,

⁸ whom I sent toward you unto this same, that he may know the things concerning you and may call your hearts alongside,

⁹ with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is out of you. They will make known to you all the things here.

¹⁰ Aristarchus my fellow-captive greets you, and Mark the cousin of Barnabas — concerning whom you received commandments; if he comes toward you, receive him —

¹¹ and Jesus, the one being called Justus, the ones being out of circumcision; these only fellow-workers unto the kingdom of God, who became a consolation to me.

¹² Epaphras greets you, the one out of you, a slave of Christ, always struggling on behalf of you in the prayers, that you may stand complete and having been filled in all the will of God.

¹³ For I witness to him that he has much zeal on behalf of you and of those in Laodicea and of those in Hierapolis.

¹⁴ Luke the beloved physician greets you, and Demas.

¹⁵ Greet the brothers in Laodicea, and Nymphas and the church according to his house.

¹⁶ And whenever the letter is read beside you, make that it also be read in the church of Laodiceans, and that you also read the one out of Laodicea.

¹⁷ And say to Archippus, Look the service which you received in Lord, that you may fill it.

¹⁸ The greeting with my hand, of Paul. Remember my bonds. The grace with you. Amen.
