Holiness. The ones having been put-to-sleep

Because the Lord himself in a command, in a voice of an archangel and in a trumpet of God, will go down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will stand-up first; thereafter we the living, the ones remaining-around, will be seized-together with them in clouds unto a meeting of the Lord into air; and thus we will always be with Lord.

1 Remaining therefore, brothers, we ask you and call-alongside in Lord Jesus, according as you received from us the how it is necessary for you to walk and to please God, that you may abound more.

2 For you know what commands we gave to you through the Lord Jesus.

3 For this is a will of God, your holiness, you to hold yourselves away from the fornication,

4 each of you to know to acquire his own vessel in holiness and honor,

5 not in passion of desire, just as also the nations, the ones not knowing God,

6 the not to overstep and greed-gain his brother in the matter, because an avenger is the Lord concerning all these things, according as also we said-before to you and witnessed.

7 For God did not call us upon uncleanness but in holiness.

8 Therefore the one setting-aside does not set-aside a man but God, the one also giving his Holy Spirit unto you.

9 And concerning the brother-love you do not have need for me to write to you; for you yourselves are God-taught unto the to love one another;

10 for also you do it unto all the brothers, the ones in whole Macedonia. And we call you alongside, brothers, to abound more,

11 and to be honor-loving to be quiet and to practice the own things and to work with your own hands, according as we commanded you,

12 that you may walk well-schemed toward those outside and may have need of nothing.

13 And we do not will you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those having been put-to-sleep, that you may not grieve according as also the remaining, those not having a hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and stood-up, thus also God will lead with him those having been put-to-sleep through Jesus.

15 For this we say to you in a word of Lord, that we the living, the ones remaining-around unto the presence of the Lord, may by no means precede those having been put-to-sleep;

16 because the Lord himself in a command, in a voice of an archangel and in a trumpet of God, will go down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will stand-up first;

17 thereafter we the living, the ones remaining-around, will be seized-together with them in clouds unto a meeting of the Lord into air; and thus we will always be with Lord.

18 So that call one another alongside in these words.
